Football Against Dementia CIC, a community interest company committed to raising awareness for Dementia and supporting those living with the condition, is delighted to announce its upcoming 5-a-side football tournament. The event aims to bring the football community together while paying tribute to the past and standing united against Dementia.
On Sunday, 20th August at 10.30am at The Nest, Holt Road, Norwich an exciting day of football is in store. The tournament, known as the “Cozens Cup,” seeks to recapture the essence of the good old days of 5-a-side football, allowing players to relive their memories while raising funds for a worthy cause.
Trevor Saunders, Manager of Football Against Dementia states “We are thrilled to bring back the nostalgia and camaraderie of 5-a-side football while supporting those affected by Dementia. By participating in this tournament, you not only have the opportunity to challenge for the ‘Cozens Cup’ but also contribute towards the purchase of a holiday chalet that will provide much-needed respite for individuals living with Dementia.”
In addition to the tournament, the event will offer a variety of things to do, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both players and spectators alike. We can all expect a friendly and buzzing atmosphere, with entertainment for all ages throughout the day.
Let us come together as a united football family and make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by this condition.
